Cycle 3 (grades 5 & 6) 3rd Week of September

We begin the ''Let's Describe Project''

We look at important verbs (To Be, To Have, To Be Wearing) to use while describing.

We also begin to look at clothing vocabulary.

I ask students to begin thinking of someone they would like to describe (clothing, body parts, using adjectives) because they will have to bring a picture to class and write a text describing the person.

Later on, they will have to do an oral presentation (fashion show-like). They will be 2x2 and they will have to describe their friend to the rest of the class.

The 3 competencies will all be evaluated throughout the project (but focus will be put on Competency 2 since this one is graded on the first report card).

Competency 1: To interact orally
Competency 2: To reinvest understanding of oral and written texts
Competenty 3: To write texts

Coming: Clothing, Adjectives, Body Parts to have enough resources for writting their text.

New Schoolyear (2014-2015)

Merci,

Mrs. Gabby
